Common questions

A patio shows sun but it’s in shade (or the reverse). Sun and shade are estimates from the sun’s position and nearby building heights. Trees, awnings, umbrellas, and patio position inside a building footprint aren’t modeled. Tap the report option on a patio’s detail screen, or email us the patio name, city, time, and what you saw. Reports help us correct patio locations.

A patio or bar is missing, closed, or in the wrong place. Use “Suggest a patio” in the app or email us with the name and city.

The Conditions tab or forecast is empty. Weather comes from Apple Weather and needs an internet connection. Check that Location Services is on for Sunny Drinks in Settings.

The app starts in the wrong city. Sunny Drinks picks the city that contains your location. Change it in the city picker, or set a start city in Preferences. If you’re outside every supported city, it shows the first one.

The widget says to open the app. Open Sunny Drinks once so it can refresh the widget’s data, then check the widget again.

My favorites or preferences are gone. They’re stored only on your device. Deleting the app or switching phones removes them.
